How we measure trending
For each song we compare confirmed-match counts in the current window against the immediately preceding window of the same length, and rank by absolute increase. New entries (zero searches in the previous window) are flagged.
What this catches that streaming charts miss
Streaming requires you to know what to play. Trending here surfaces songs that are spreading by word-of-mouth, TikTok snippets, or random radio plays. Songs people hear but don't yet know the name of.
