Every time a user confirms that a search returned the right song, that confirmation is logged against the matched track. This page counts those confirmations across the this month window and ranks the top 50.
Why this differs from streaming charts
Spotify and Apple Music chart what people play. We chart what people can't quite remember and have to look up. It's a different signal that surfaces songs which are sticky in collective memory but hard to pin down by name.
